The PrimaLoft® team has signed on to be the technical insulation sponsor for Backpacker Magazine's 2009 Get Out More Tour.

Backpacker Get Out More Tour is a one-of-a-kind mobile marketing tour that features in-depth retail workshops and presentations as well as guided experiential adventures for active and aspiring outdoor enthusiasts. From April through October, the tour hosts, Sheri and Randy Propster, will travel across the country visiting over 50 retail stores and festivals to educate consumers about the skills and equipment they need to get Out More.

At each stop, retailers and consumers will be able to learn more about PrimaLoft® insulations and products.

PrimaLoft® Insulation Sponsors Red Rock RendezVous

This weekend, Russ Angrignon from PrimaLoft^® will be at the sixth annual Red Rock RendezVous presented by Mountain Gear. The three-day event starts on Friday (March 20) and is being held at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area near Las Vegas, NV.

This is the largest rock climbing festival in North America and this year's event is limited to the first 1,000 registrants. Proceeds from this event benefit The Access Fund and other local and national non-profit organizations.

Throughout the weekend, world class athletes, such as Tommy Caldwell, Peter Croft, Beth Rodden, Chris Schulte, just to name a few, will lead clinics for all level climbers.

Other activities will include a climbing wall, mountain biking, yoga, gear demos, comps and mini-seminars, slide show and movie.

PrimaLoft® Announces Winners of ‘Shove It’ Contest

The PrimaLoft^® team sends three cheers to Susan Shinkai from The Natural Resource and Kyle Abrahamsen with Kiss My Face, winners of the PrimaLoft^® ‘Shove It’ contest that was held at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in January. The contest celebrated the launch of PrimaLoft^® INFINITY, PrimaLoft^® Insulation’s newest development.

Shinkai and Abrahamsen were among the over 70 participants who revealed their shoving prowess by stuffing a sleeping bag filled with PrimaLoft^® INFINITY into a narrow cylinder with a plunger. The contest was to demonstrate first-hand the compressibility of the new insulation.

Both winners will receive the new Eastern Mountain Sports Boreal 40° sleeping bag insulated with PrimaLoft^® INFINITY .

Announcing Winners of TNF Masters of Snowboarding

The PrimaLoft team is back from a busy weekend in Kirkwood, CA, where it sponsored the last event of The North Face Masters of Snowboarding.

While Rosemarie Dittfach and Andrew Irwin were the TNF Masters winners of the Kirkwood stop, Michelle Locke and Matt Annetts took the overall 2009 tour titles.

All winners received The North Face Redpoint jackets insulated with PrimaLoft to keep them warm and dry on their next runs!

Busy weekend for PrimaLoft

This weekend is filled with PrimaLoft-sponsored events.

On the West Coast, in Kirkwood, CA, PrimaLoft is attending the last stop of the 2009 TNF Masters of Snowboarding. This event, presented by PrimaLoft, starts today, March 5 and the Awards ceremony will be held on March 7 at 2:30pm. On the East Coast, in Keene Valley, NY, PrimaLoft is a sponsor of the annual Adirondack Backcountry Ski Festival hosted by specialty outdoor retailer, The Mountaineer, on March 7 and 8.
