On July 1st 2006, polar explorers Lonnie Dupre and Eric Larsen completed the first-ever summer expedition to the North Pole. For 62 days, they pulled and paddled specially modified canoes across 700 miles of shifting sea ice and open water of the Arctic Ocean.
